Amid Social Distancing: Instagram launches New ‘Co-Watching’ feature

, Entertainment, Trending

As the world goes through lockdown to fight against COVID-19, Instagram has launched a new feature to enable more social activity among its users. The newly launched feature by the photo-sharing app will enable users to co-watch posts and content on its app while video chatting. One can browse through the feed and share the liked or saved posts while chatting with other users or groups of friends via group video chat. This particular feature can help increasing video calls over the app, as sharing your favourite posts with your friends and others while chatting with them might be a good feature for most of the users. As reported by Tech Crunch, the new feature can be used by six users at the same time and you can share feed photos and videos but not IGTV posts.

Some of the other new features include-

– New Story stickers suggesting social distancing & techniques wash hands.

– The top results search bar is showing Coronavirus information, also educational information about the virus.
