The ongoing NBA season was halted mid-way to postpone March 11 game till further announcement. Just before the match between one of the players from Utah Jazz tested positive for corona virus. So, the entire event was suspended till further notice.

IPL
Indian Premier League also got the blow from corona virus as it was postponed without any announced date for it. In India, the locked is set till 14th April. IPL was scheduled to start from 29th march but was paused before even the starting the league.

UFC
One of the most awaited events around the world, UFS matches also got cancelled as of now due the deadly virus. UFC nights scheduled on March 21, March 28 and April 11 were suspended until further notice.

Both Olympic and Para Olympic has been postponed to next year. The officials said that, to safeguard the athletes coming from all over the world, this decision was taken. The decision to postpone the event for a year came because of the pandemic nature of the COVID-19 around the world costing lives of many.

Football leagues have also received the impact due to the corona virus outbreak. UEFA also postponed their EURO 2020 until the next summer. However, the play off for the same will played in the international break of June 2020.

India Open (Badminton)
India Open badminton championship scheduled to be held from march 24 -29 was also postponed with immediate effect. New Delhi was the destination where it was slotted to take place, since India is locked down for three weeks till 14th April. The championship has to be postponed without any further assessment.
The Asian Championship
Weightlifting championship, the Asian Championship was cancelled earlier due to the deadly virus. The event was scheduled in Uzbekistan from April 16 to 25 but the officials announced its cancellation.
Golf
The Masters at Augusta and PGA, major golfing events hit back by corona virus outbreak. Ensuing the safety of players as well as audience has been given priority and the decision to postpone the event came from that perspective specifically.
