Bin Bulaaye Starring Ira Dubey and Naseeruddin Shah, talks about a topic that today our mainstream movies fail to present with what beauty it deserves:  closure.  If you are a fan of October, you would love this movie.

A subtle, important reminder that our mom, sister, daughters, and wives live as a second-class citizen because of Indian patriarchal society. The movie stars Seema Pahwa, who is a delight to watch.

3. The Twist

Ritvik Sahore and Sushama Deshpande starrer, The Twist, is a short film that will take you on a trip down memory lane to your school days and first crush. It is also an ode to a famous dance form, as the title seems.

4. Special Day

When do you celebrate your mother? On mother’s day? Or on her birthday? How is one supposed to decide on the day of the celebration? Wait, do we even want a particular day to celebrate her presence. This is a beautiful, and insightful film that talks about celebrating mothers.

5. Tindey

Even though the movie is many cliches when talking about marriage and extramarital affairs, it is a good pick for quirky quick laughs with a few solid performances.
