Anurag Kashyap’s Movie “Choked” is now streaming on Netflix.
Choked: Paisa Bolta Hai is the 2020 Indian Hindi-language thriller film directed and co-produced by Anurag Kashyap, written by Nihit Bhave, and produced jointly by Netflix and Good Bad Films (in their debut production). Starring Saiyami Kher, Roshan Mathew, Amruta Subhash and Rajshri Deshpande, Choked is now streaming.
Kashyap said , “It’s essentially about marriage, about aspirations, about people of the lower middle class. It’s not a dark thriller or a political commentary on demonization, or my point of view on it. Some people watched the film, and they were very surprised that it wasn’t anything they had expected from me.”
Anurag Kashyap was previously associated with Netflix for projects such as Sacred Games, Ghoul, Lust Stories and Ghost Stories, but this is the first time the director’s full-length feature film has been released exclusively on Netflix.
Choked is the story of a hapless bank cashier whose life takes an unexpected turn when she finds an unlimited source of money in her own kitchen. What happens when the world becomes suspicious of its newfound fortunes?

The strongest part is definitely the background score which so brilliantly keeps you glued! Loved the subtle satirical digs like #Janagana = deshbhakt , the Godi media
