Jamaica’s Toni-Ann Singh, who was crowned Miss World 2019 on Saturday, holds a degree in women’s studies and psychology from Florida State University and aspires to be a doctor. She previously worked as president of the Caribbean students association on campus. Singh, the fourth Jamaican woman to win the title, enjoys singing, cooking, vlogging and volunteering in her spare time.
2.PewDiePie to take a break from YouTube in 2020, says he is ‘tired’
YouTube creator Felix Kjellberg, acknowledged as ‘PewDiePie’, has declared that he will be taking a break from the platform next year and said he is “very tired”. PewDiePie has been involved in several controversies, including reaction overexpressing a racial slur and an anti-Semitic ‘joke’, and the Christchurch shooter saying “subscribe to PewDiePie” while live-streaming attack.

Tamara Ecclestone, the wife of ex-F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone, in London, stole jewels worth £ 50 million (over 470 crores). Hours after Tamara left the country for her Christmas holidays, the burglary took place. The thieves fled with items such as rings, earrings and £ 80,000 Cartier bangle given to her as a wedding present, according to’ The Sun.’

8. India Lost 1st ODI against West Indies on Chennai’s tricky pitch
Team India lost their first One-Day International against the unpredictable West Indies team here in Chennai. The pitch was a bit sticky for the first half of it seemed like, but the Indian players were finding it tough to play their natural game on this particular track. Team India Batting first lost KL Rahul and Virat Kohli early in the inning, from where Shreyas Iyer And Rishabh Pant batted together for a 100 run partnership. Team India gave a respectable run of 288 for the West Indies to the chase. In reply, the West Indies batsman’s batted as if there is nothing in the pitch where Shai Hope & former RCB player Shimron Hetmyer both scored hundreds to see their side win.
9. Partnered Onida, Amazon brings Fire TV Edition smart TVs to India
Amazon introduced Fire TV Edition smart TVs in 2018 in the US and Canada, later to the UK, Germany, and Austria. Now partnered with Onida, to bring it in India, a move aimed at helping the e-commerce company. The Vice President Sandeep Gupta, told PTI- “We have seen great momentum to the Fire TV Edition smart TVs so far. India has been a very important market for our streaming product and we are seeing great uptake of it from across the country. We are confident of a similar response to the TVs also,”

Yesterday the DMRC had announced closing entry and exit gates at Jamia Millia Islamia metro station, Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat, and Udyog Bhawan. Today the entry and exit gates of Janpath, Lok Kalyan Marg, Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat, and Udyog Bhawan metro stations closed.
