  1. Facebook most downloaded app of the decade; 3 of its other apps in the top 5

As per data from app analytics firm App Annie, Facebook was the most downloaded app of this decade. It owned three apps, namely Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram, following Facebook. Snapchat was the fifth most downloaded app of the decade, with Skype, TikTok, UC Browser, YouTube and Twitter taking the remaining five spots on the list.

2. India’s official entry ‘Gully Boy’ out of the race for Oscars 2020

Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘ Gully Boy’, which was selected as India’s official entry for Oscars 2020, is out of the race. The shortlist for Best International Feature Film category, formerly known as Foreign Language Film, has been released and it features 10 films. The 92nd Academy Awards will be held on February 9, 2020.

3. Bernard Arnault briefly becomes the world’s richest person passing Bezos

On Monday, French billionaire Bernard Arnault, chairman of Louis Vuitton parent LVMH, became the richest person in the world to overtake Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezos. According to Forbes, Arnault finished the day with a net value of $108 billion compared to Bezos ‘ $110.1 billion. Bezos had exchanged $35 billion worth of Amazon’s interest as part of MacKenzie’s divorce settlement.

Actress-model Kajal Aggarwal on Tuesday tweeted that her wax statue would be unveiled at Madame Tussauds in Singapore next year, making her Twitter fans congratulate her. Kajal also took to Instagram to share the news.

The former president of Pakistan, Parvez Musharraf is sentenced to death in case of treason. He is currently in Dubai and is suffering from a disease called amyloidosis. The punishment has been announced more than five and a half years later.

7. Delhi metro closes stations in view of CAB protests

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has closed entry and exit gates of Jaffrabad Welcome, Jaffrabad and Maujpur-Babarpur are closed and there will not be halting at Seelampur and Gokulpuri. This is in the view of a violent protest against the citizenship law in the Seelampur area. “Entry & exit gates of Johri Enclave and Shiv Vihar are closed. Trains will not be halting at these stations,” Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) tweeted.

8. Delhi becomes the Warzone over CAA

After Jamia Millia Islamia and Aligarh Muslim University, Seelampur turns into a warzone where poured into the streets in northeast Delhi. The national capital turned violent today in the Seelampur area, reported massive stone-pelting, damage to public buses and tear gas shelling by the police.

But Paragdutt Mishra, an environment activist from Gonda, Uttar Pradesh is “directly” taking help from God to save the trees and forests. Pictures of gods and goddesses on trees is a new unique way to stop people from cutting them. Mishra told IANS: “Forest are drastically being damaged in the name of development and road extension. Villagers have no knowledge about climate change and ecological balance. But pictures of gods and goddesses on trees are successfully deterring people, who believe in god, from cutting them”.

10. Arvind Kejriwal appealed citizens of Delhi to maintain peace


Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has appealed to the citizens of Delhi to maintain peace as violent protests against the CAA, broke out in Seelampur area on Tuesday. He said, “No form of violence is acceptable in a civilized society. Nothing can be gained by violence. We should put forth our opinion peacefully.”
