A huge Protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act has been planned across more than 10 cities in the country today. Taking a large gathering Section 144 is imposed in different parts of the country including in Red Fort, New Delhi. People from all aspect of the society are protesting against the newly formed CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act ), While protesters were also detained from Red Fort and Mandi House in Delhi, and now they are heading towards Jantar Mantar. Also in Bengaluru, the protesters gathered around Town Hall to which, some of them were detained as well. Section 144 has been imposed in various parts of Bengaluru and historian Ramachandra Guha has been detained.
A list of cities, destinations and time were circulated on Social media Platforms where the protestors have to be present in order to oppose the CAA.
