Hizbul Mujahideen commander Riyaz Naikoo killed in Jammu and Kashmir

In a recent joint operation by Jammu Kashmir police and special task force killed, Riyaz Naikoo, operational chief of terror organization Hizbul Mujahideen. He was on the target of Jammu and Kashmir police for a long time. Riyaz was responsible of kidnapping and killing of many J & K cop over the time. 12 lakh bounty was announced on his head as he was involved in 11 terror-related cases. Riyaz was gunned down by special task force and J & K police in Beighpura area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district. Professionally a teacher who graduated from government college in Pulwama.

Tech Savvy, Riyaz Naikoo used to recruit through social media in his organization. Also, one of his conversation in 2018 with another terrorist got in the hands of police, where they were talking to pour acid in the eyes of panchayat candidates from election being held at that time.

Riyaz Naikoo, a teacher by profession, was taking lectures on Islamic topic in the year between 2010-2012. He went missing in 2012 to later join Hizbul Mujahideen. The tech savvy was cleaver enough to escape on many occasions from the anti- terrorist operation conducted by the security forces. One of most wanted terrorists, Riyaz Naikoo became the chief of the organization soon after the death of valley’s loved terrorist Burhan Wani in 2016.

The operation was handled quite professionally by the Special forces, Jammu & Kashmir Police and Army unit. As soon the hideout was identified, all the escape routes were plugged as the team did not want to lose him this time. A gun-battle went on between Riyaz Naikoo’s team and army unit. In an attempt to escape firing came indiscriminately from Riyaz Naikoo and team but one of them was shot in the retaliation. Soon the anti-terrorist team was able to gun down Riyaz Naikoo as well who was on search from past 8 years.
