Due to COVID-19 pandemic, entertainment industry has been really hit hard with theaters & shooting shut down. Many Bollywood projects went on hold and many got scheduled for later in the year.

This has given new prospect for the producers to opt for digital platforms largely due to huge outreach of such platforms. Quite a few movies including Gunjan Saxena and Gulabo Sitabo which were slotted to get theater releases, have now shifted to premiere their movies on digital platform.

In a recent tweet, Netflix India announced the arrival of Gunjan Saxena on their platform.

Janhvi Kapoor will be playing an Indian Air Force pilot. Breaking through all the odds, to overcome the issues she faced being the first women Air force pilot.

Gunjan Saxena, a true story based on Kargil war, stars Janhvi Kapoor as lead also the cast includes Neena Gupta Pankaj Tripathi, Angad Bedi, and Vijay Verma among others. Produced by Dharma Productions, Gunjan Saxena will be her second film after commercial success of Dhadak. It will be released on Netflix however; no particular date has been announced by either party.
