Failing to manage your time effectively can have some very undesirable consequences such as- missed deadlines, poor work quality, and higher stress levels. Initially, time management referred to just business or professional work activities, but eventually, the term broadened to include an individual’s personal activities as well.

A time management system is a proper combination of processes, tools, techniques, and methods which help to increase effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity in an individual’s life.

1. Start your day with a Checklist
Lists are MUST! They are the best way to give your day a structure. Not just that when you cross a tick in front of the particular task you get a MOTIVATION which helps you keep going.

2. DO NOT PROCRASTINATE
I totally agree with the lyrics “Kal ho na ho” so why not get done with the work the day you get it rather than delaying it for tomorrow? Whenever you get a task, start it, finish it and chill.

3. Prioritize
When you have a list of tasks to be done, don’t just blindly start working. First, sit and decide what’s most important and what is least. Based on that calculation start your work set a Goal and achieve it.

4. Set a Deadline
Deadlines are Essential! Whenever you start a task set the end so that you can be more focused towards finishing the work as per the decided time frame.

5. Avoid Multitasking
Multitasking can turn out to be waste at times so focus on 1 activity at a time rather than Multitasking. The major issue being your time gets divided which doesn’t let you focus on 1 activity resulting in work delay and less of perfection.
