More than 300 drones illuminated the night sky in Seoul on the weekend, providing a spectacular show of lighting in support of healthcare staff and the public around the world during the coronavirus pandemic.

The South Korean government has organized an unusual way of both praising its frontline medical staff for their hard work and reminding citizens to comply with preventive measures: a drone light show over the Han River in the capital of Seoul.

It began with messages reminding citizens to wear masks, wash their hands, and observe social distancing rules, before sharing a message of gratitude to healthcare professionals, nurses , and other medical staff.
