Israel gets ‘Significant Breakthrough’ in developing Corona Virus Antidote

The world is been on panic-mode ever since Corona Virus was announced as pandemic by WHO. With no cure or antidote of the illness, COVID-19 has spread rapidly across globe killing millions of people till date. All the affected countries are in desperate search for its vaccine and governments are trying to get hold of the vaccine as soon as possible. Left with no cure of corona virus, disappointments all around has been building up since long. But Israel has given a new hope when the Israeli defence minister announced they were successful in isolating a key coronavirus antibody in their lab. Termed as ‘Significant breakthrough’ as a possible treatment for the deadly corona virus.

Defence Minister Naftali Bennett said “monoclonal neutralising antibody” developed at the Israel Institute for Biological Research (IIBR) “can neutralise it (the disease-causing coronavirus) inside carriers’ bodies, in the statement.

The IIBR Director said, “The antibody is being patented following that, an international manufacturer would be sought to mass-produce it.”

The antibody reported which was isolated at the IIBR is monoclonal, means it was taken out from a single recovered cell. That is why it is potentially has potent value in treating a corona hit patient. Though, it is not evident or reported whether or not human trial have been conducted with the vaccine. But the efforts from all over the world on the vaccines is massive and every country have pulled their socks up in order to get hands on the antidote.

With 3,950,517 cases reported around the world, 271,802 people have lost their lives due to COVID-19. Though, 1,359,506 managed to recover till now. One of the most advance nation, USA is most affected country from Corona Virus with 1,295, 101 cases so far. Over 77k people died in USA in total and over 1,000,750 active cases have been reported till date.

Countries like Bhutan, Caribbean Netherlands, St. Barth, Western Sahara, Anguilla and Saint Pierre Miquelon are few which did not have a single death despite corona virus cases.

This pandemic is breaking the backbone of various countries as imposing lockdown has brought the economy to a standstill. Governments are finding tough to generate revenues in order to cope up with the expenses. India particularly, are in bad phase of the decade as the struggle to be afloat is getting tougher for the government. We hope, the vaccine for corona virus is developed soon and the pandemic gets over.
