Today’s earthquake struck Delhi-NCR at 7.01 p.m. The magnitude of the earthquake was measured to be 4.5 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake was 63 kilometers southwest of Haryana’s Gurugram. No immediate damage or injuries have been reported. Tremors have also been felt in areas of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
Several earthquakes have hit the Delhi-NCR area in the last two months. Fortunately, all recent quakes in the Delhi-NCR region have been of low to medium magnitude.
Since April 12, there have been 18 earthquakes in the Delhi-NCR. Since then, Rohtak has experienced eight quakes.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, “Mild earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi some time ago. Hope you are all safe, take care of yourself.”
