Incredibles 3: The Superheroes Are Back

Pixar’s superhero family is gearing up for another exciting adventure with “Incredibles 3.” Brad Bird, who directed the original “The Incredibles” in 2004 and its sequel in 2018, is back to helm this third installment.

The announcement was made by Pixar chief Pete Docter at Disney’s D23 Expo. While details about the plot are still under wraps, the film’s development follows the success of “Inside Out 2,” which recently overtook “Incredibles 2” as Pixar’s highest-grossing film.

The original “Incredibles” grossed over $630 million globally, and its sequel brought in a remarkable $1.24 billion. Fans can look forward to more thrilling sequences and family dynamics, though a release date has not yet been set.

Toy Story 5: A New Adventure Awaits

Disney and Pixar have also revealed a sneak peek at “Toy Story 5,” kids popular disney’s upcoming releases. The first look was unveiled at the D23 Expo on August 9. 

This new chapter will delve into the relationship between toys and technology. Following the events of “Toy Story 4,” which saw Woody and Buzz Lightyear part ways, the new film will reunite familiar characters and introduce new ones. 

CEO Bob Iger announced the continuation of the “Toy Story” saga alongside sequels to “Frozen” and “Zootopia,” with “Toy Story 5” slated for summer 2026. 

The sequel promises fresh storylines and new adventures for Woody, Buzz, and the rest of the toy crew.

Frozen 3: The Magic Continues

The beloved “Frozen” franchise is set to return with “Frozen 3,” scheduled for release in 2027. Disney’s chief creative officer, Jennifer Lee unveiled visual development art, featuring Elsa on a white horse and Anna on a brown stag. 

The original “Frozen,” released in 2013, was a major hit, earning $1.28 billion worldwide. Its sequel, “Frozen II,” surpassed this, grossing $1.45 billion globally. 

Both films were celebrated for their memorable songs and engaging storylines. The third installment is expected to answer lingering questions and continue the magical journey of Elsa and Anna.

Moana 2: Another Epic Voyage

Moana is also listed in the disney’s upcoming releases line Auli’i Cravalho will return as Moana in the highly anticipated sequel, “Moana 2.” The trailer debuted at the D23 Expo, showing Moana embarking on a new adventure three years after her first voyage.

In the sequel, Moana sets out to explore beyond Motunui, joined by Maui and a new crew. The film promises another captivating journey through Oceania.

Cravalho, who voiced Moana in the original 2016 film, expressed her excitement about returning to the character and exploring new aspects of her story. “Moana 2” is set for release on November 27, 2024.

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place: A Magical Return

The beloved series “Wizards of Waverly Place” is making a comeback with the spinoff “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place,” is one of the most talked about disney’s upcoming releases.

The first look reveals behind-the-scenes moments with cast members, including David Henrie and Selena Gomez. The spinoff follows an adult Justin Russo, who is now living a normal life with his family. 

When Alex Russo brings a young wizard-in-training into their lives, Justin must balance his magical skills with everyday responsibilities. The series will premiere on Disney Channel and Disney+ later in 2024.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew – A New Chapter in the Galaxy

Disney+ is expanding the Star Wars universe with the new series “Skeleton Crew,” set to premiere on December 3. 

The first trailer, shown at D23, features a young cast navigating a space academy and discovering a ship that leads them on an intergalactic adventure. Jude Law stars as a Jedi, and the series is inspired by classic kid fantasy films from the 1980s. 

“Skeleton Crew” will be set in the same timeline as “The Mandalorian” and “The Book of Boba Fett,” following a group of kids lost in the Star Wars universe. The series is executive produced by Jon Watts and promises a fresh perspective on the beloved franchise.
