A controversy has stir over a recent tweet by giant food chain McDonald. It all began when one of the Muslim users asked if they are Halal certified or not? To which the McDonalds’s India official twitter handle answered that “All our restaurants have HALAL certificates. You can ask the respective restaurant Managers to show you the certificate for your satisfaction and confirmation“. Soon people from other religion started opposing the tweet and asking why they only use Halal meats when it is against other religion’s sentiments. With many people joining the agenda, #BoycottMcDonalds started trending on twitter.
