The heartthrob of Hollywood is coming on the big screens on 25 June 2025, internationally. Brad Pitt is starring in the upcoming Hollywood film called F1. It is an American sports action drama film directed by Joseph Kosinski and written by Ehren Kruger based on the F1 racing championships created in collaboration with FIA as their governing body.

Seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton is also helping produce the movie. This film is currently untitled but the news of the release of this project has captured everyone’s attention. All the car racing lovers are looking forward to this film. The plot of the film is also pretty interesting.

Brad Pitt is playing the role of Sonny Hayes in the movie. 

Sonny Hayes is a Formula One driver who raced in the 1990s and unfortunately, he encountered a horrible crash that forced him to retire. He retires from Formula One and starts racing in other disciplines. Then one day, an owner of a Formula One team approaches Sonny Hayes and asks him to step out of his retirement to mentor a rookie prodigy named Joshua Pearce. 

The plot is amazing and viewers can expect a ton of emotions in the film along with insights into the F1 racing competitions and the car racing industries. The shooting has begun and the cast has been spotted at different avenues.  

The shooting has taken place at the Silverstone circuit, including at last year’s British Grand Pix. And Pitt, 60, has been spotted again at the Northamptonshire track, wearing the racing suit of the fictional “APX GP” team. Lewis Hamilton is actively involved in producing this film to make it as authentic as possible. 

The makers are promising about the film and have stated that are putting a lot of effort to ensure that the essence of the sport is displayed gracefully and the viewers understand it perfectly. F1 has described the movie, being filmed in real-time during the Grands Prix, as a “landmark for the sport”.

Brad Pitt was spotted in a black and white racing suit and his images surfing the internet are loved by his fans. Brad Pitt said that he is excited about the cinematography of the movie as the cameras are mounted all over the cars and the viewers will be able to see the kind of speed and G forces, they haven’t seen before. It is amazing and irresistible. 

The F1 release has stated that the film was shot in real-time during the Grand Prix involving the Formula 1 community with all 10 teams, drivers, the FIA, and race promoters. The global theatrical release will also happen in Imax theatres and the amazing video quality and digital audio will transport the viewers into the movie. 

The movie showcases the heroism and skill of the F1 drivers along with the intense challenges of the Formula 1 competition. Brad Pitt also stated how he was able to experience the intensity and aggression of the sport and it was beyond a civilian’s imagination.
