Corona virus has really broken the spine of countries around the world with its affect. Economies of various COVID-19 hit countries have been largely affected due to its spread. Many countries have announced locked down to combat the deadly virus including USA and India. USA has been hit hard by Corona Virus as the patient numbers have increased over lakh with more tha 3000 death. On the other hand, India’s efforts to contain the spread of virus ha been fruitful as there are lesser number of cases looking at that fact, India has such massive population. In order to combat corona virus, the Indian government announced a lockdown for entire country for a period of 21 days. People would not be able to commute to another place and services like trains, metros, flights and other public transports would also be shut due to the lockdown. This step has been adopted to stop the spread of Corona Virus, when people would be at home, there are minor possibility of spread of this virus. The lockdown has really hit the financial conditions of each and everyone. Daily wage workers are struggling to keep up without work but they can’t survive long without daily cash flow.
To fight with corona virus in vision to eradicate it, Finance Minister has also allotted a certain amount of money dedicated to it. In this hour, every country is struggling with their economy so seeing all the aspect, government of India has created a fund called ‘PM Care’ where people of India would be able to donate money whatever they can from their saving. Prime Minister Modi himself addressed the nation to tell about this fund so that people would donate money and that donated money will be used to for citizen’s assistance and Relief in Emergency situations.

People from Bollywood industry were quite kind enough to contribute in this novel cause. Corona has really hit hard as country has been locked-down till 14th April 2020. When PM Modi announced a fund in which people of India can contribute and the donated money will be used for emergency situations including Corona Virus. Bollywood turned in large numbers to donate money in this fund. With the likes of Karan Johar, Madhuri Dixit, Alia Bhatt and more contributed an undisclosed amount. But, PM Modi tweeted about it to let people know Bollywood is taking an active part in PM Cares Fund.
