Garland Man Charged with Murder After Domestic Shooting

A tragic domestic dispute turned deadly in Garland, Texas, when a man shot and killed his wife and mother-in-law inside an apartment where two young children were present.  Broderick has been charged with capital murder and is currently being held at the Garland Detention Center without bond. The two children, who were unharmed during the ordeal, have been placed with extended family members.

Her mother, Shirley Jean Phillip, was also found with gunshot wounds but was still alive. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, but sadly, she later succumbed to her injuries.
